Forget Primark nighties

Jun 15, 2023

FASHION fans have found a brand new trend and are running with it.

Following in the footsteps of stylish shoppers who bagged Primark nighties and transformed them into dresses, some have taken it one step further – and started wearing men’s boxers out and about.

The trend has taken TikTok by storm, with countless accounts showing how they’re styling the men’s underwear.

They revealed they make very comfortable shorts and can be transformed into an on-trend two-piece when put together with the right thing.

TikToker Ashlynn Rudzinski (@ashlynnrudzinski) was amongst the first to step out in the boxers.

She teamed her dark navy and white striped style with a simple grey T-shirt, trainers and leather jacket for a casual daytime look that also kept her cool in the sun.

Ashlynn told her 169.2k followers that she was loving the new look, as some of them replied that she had “slayed”.

At the same time, fellow social media user Leah Moore had visited her local Uniqlo store and walked away with a similar blue and white striped pair.

Leah, who can be found at @leahmoore_, then went on to share the X styles she’d come up with that she couldn’t get enough of.

These ranged from wearing them with an open shirt, T-shirt and sliders to a tucked in black vest top with a jumper wrapped around the shoulders.

She added that they had further versatility as they could be worn with a matching shirt, or even a little white cardigan.

Elsewhere, Fleur Falkenburg also jumped on the bandwagon when she opted for a similar pair – but complete with the opening at the front that we often see on men’s boxers.

When she debuted the H&M look on her page @fleurfalkenburg, she was met with some scepticism.

One person asked: “Do they look like diapers from the back? Because that’s what’s stopping me from buying them.”

But Fleur assured her that they don’t have a baggy bum, as she urged others to check it out when trying them on.

And it seems people were sold on the idea after hearing her feedback, as many of her followers said they’d rushed out to buy themselves a pair and would be embracing it.

One fashion fan wrote: “You made me buy them!”

Another added: “You’ve convinced me to get some.”

And when another revealed they’d also been “influenced”, Fleur replied: “I promise you don’t regret it.”
